 borly\nrelationships and share free fun for families and folks of all ages
  at\nthis year's National Night Out! \n\nBolivar PD’s National Night Ou
 t event will run from 6 to 8 p.m.\nTuesday\, Aug. 4\, at the Bolivar Recre
 ation and Aquatic Center\, 1710 W.\nBroadway St.\n\nThe evening will inclu
 de free swimming at the aquatic center\, safety\ndemonstrations\, a kids' 
 bike rodeo\, a booth fair featuring local\nbusinesses and nonprofits\, fre
 e hot dogs and chips\, and much more.\n\n“We’re so excited to share th
 is night with our community\,”\nBolivar PD Lt. Brian Whalen\, event orga
 nizer\, said. “We can’t wait\nto celebrate everything that makes Boliv
 ar a great place to live and\nwork and bring our officers together with th
 e people they’ve sworn\nto serve and protect.”   \n\nNeighborhoods t
 hroughout Bolivar are invited to join over 38 million\nneighbors across 18
 \,000 communities in all 50 states\, U.S.\nterritories\, and military base
 s worldwide during this year’s\nNational Night Out. National Night Out i
 s an annual nationwide\ncommunity-building campaign that promotes strong p
 olice-community\npartnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to help make ne
 ighborhoods\nsafer and more caring places. \n\nTogether\, the Bolivar Pol
 ice Department and local residents\,\nnon-profits\, and businesses are mak
 ing that happen through this\nevent. \n\nWhen National Night Out began\, 
 neighbors across the nation were asked\nto turn on their front porch light
 s and spend the evening outside with\nneighbors and law enforcement. \n\n
 Along with the traditional outside lights and front porch vigils\, most\nc
 ommunities now celebrate National Night Out by hosting block parties\,\nfe
 stivals\, parades\, cookouts\, and other various community events with\nsa
 fety demonstrations\, seminars\, youth events\, visits from emergency\nper
