Fire Department Photos

Here are some photos of our firefighters in action.

Here are scenes from our pinning ceremony at Bolivar City Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

Our family and friends joined us as we celebrated the promotions of the following firefighters:

  • Lt. Lucas Hadley, from firefighter to lieutenant
  • Lt. Danielle Music, from firefighter to lieutenant
  • Firefighter Anthony Emery, from probationary firefighter to firefighter
  • Firefighter Tony Nguyen, from probationary firefighter to firefighter
  • Firefighter Joe Vote, from probationary firefighter to firefighter

The Bolivar City Fire Department gathered at the Public Safety Center with our firefighters, elected officials, City leadership, families, friends, and community members to celebrate and commission our new Engine 11 with a traditional “wet down, push in" ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 22.

During our ceremony, our chaplain said a blessing over the apparatus, and our firefighters washed the engine, pushed it into the fire station, and worked with the community to dry it off. This tradition dates back to the late 1800s.

The purchase of the new 2024 Ferrara fire engine is part of our ongoing efforts to improve equipment for the department.

“This state-of-the-art engine will allow us to respond more effectively to calls and improve the safety of our personnel and community,” Chief Brent Watkins said. “This purchase was made possible thanks to the passage of Proposition Public Safety in April 2024. We couldn’t be more grateful for the voters’ and community’s support.”
