Fire Stations

The Bolivar City Fire Department operates primarily out of the Public Safety Center. We also have two additional stations that help us provide greater coverage and operational area for the department.

Public Safety Center

Public Safety Center

The Public Safety Center is our main station and is located at 211 W. Walnut Street, Bolivar. It houses Engine 11, Ladder 12, and Rescue 14.

This facility was purchased in 2014. While the crews have been sleeping, eating, and working out of this facility, a garage on the south side of the building was built in 2022. This addition was dedicated in April 14, 2022.

The apparatus in this location contain a full heavy duty extrication set for rescue calls, as well as air bags. They are extended cab units with intercom systems and equipped with Thermal Imaging Cameras, Knox Box systems and all ISO mandated equipment.

Station No. 1

Station 1

Built in 1983, Station No. 1 was previously our main station and our home for many years. It is located at 312 S. Springfield Ave.

Station No. 1 houses Engine 13, which is our auto-aid apparatus.

Due to limited space at the Public Safety Center, this facility is still where maintenance and daily equipment testing occur. This station is not usually occupied. If you need assistance, please go to the PSC.

Station No. 2

Station 2

Located on South Killingsworth Avenue, Station No. 2 houses Engine 21. This location provides coverage to the west side of Bolivar.
