Bolivar Storm Siren Coverage

The City of Bolivar has six outdoor warning sirens strategically placed throughout the city to alert citizens who are outdoors during an emergency.

These sirens are NOT intended or designed to be heard indoors.

The sirens are set off if winds blow above 75 mph or if there is a tornado warning issued by the National Weather Service within Bolivar city limits.

We test our sirens at 10 a.m. on the second Tuesday each month. We will cancel the test if there is cloud cover or if severe weather is expected that day.
