Fourth of July Reading Program

Bolivar Parks & Recreation and the Polk County Library are proudly partnering on a reading incentive program this Fourth of July holiday season in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.

From Monday, June 15, to Friday, July 3, participants can visit the Rayl Family Library in Bolivar to read from a selection of books about the founding of America and earn free pool passes for the Bolivar Aquatic Center.

The program is available for all ages. There is a limit of one pass per person per day and a limit of five passes total per individual.

The swim passes will be valid for the entire 2026 swim season.

The Rayl Family Library is located at 1690 W. Broadway St. The hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday-Saturday. The library is closed on Sundays.

The Bolivar Recreation & Aquatic Center is located at 1710 W. Broadway St. Pool hours are 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday. The pool is also closed on Sundays.
